Human-Animal Bond

Did you know that when you pet your animal friend, after three minutes you experience a release of oxytocin in your brain?  This is the hormone that gives you a peaceful sense of well-being.  Your pet gets that same release of oxytocin, too.  Please join our guest speaker, Joy Davy, licensed clinical professional counselor specializing in the human-animal bond and pet grief.  She will explore the unique bond we share with our companion animals.  Q&A to follow presentation.

Our adult education seminars are free, however donations are gladly accepted. Space is limited, so register today. Contact Terri Hancock, humane education manager, at (630) 420-8989  x117 or via email to reserve your spot. Seminars are educational only, please leave your pets at home.
