Bear 1Y 3M Border Collie mix Male Available

Who's ready to play?  I'll give you a hint...ME!  I like to play with all types of toys, frisbees, tennis balls, you name it and I'll play with it.  Some of my favorite activities include fetch, tug, and running.  As you can see, I am quite the busy boy and will need a lot of mental stimulation in my new home to keep me and my family happy.  I get along with most other dogs but I cannot live with cats.  If you're looking for an active dog, stop by and say hi soon!

Bruce 5Y 1M Shepherd/Boxer Mix Male Available

Bruce here to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a playful guy who loves toys. Playing fetch is probably my favorite though, especially outside. I definitely love being outdoors, and who can blame me now that summer is here? I also really enjoy snuggling. Some people have said that I am too big to be a lap dog, but I say I'm the perfect fit. I get along with most other dogs, but no cats please. It would be best if children in my new home have had experience with dogs. If I sound like the dog for you, then stop by and meet me soon!

Carrie 0Y 7M Anatolian Shepherd Mix Female Available

I traveled a long way from Oklahoma and am still a little nervous to be here.  Everyone has been very nice to me since I've arrived and I am starting to get more comfortable and confident in myself.  I will need a family that will be patient with me and continue to build my confidence.  Because of this, children in my new home should have experience with dogs.  I like most other dogs but cannot live with cats.

Cindy 2Y 0M Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Basset Hound Mix Female Available

Are you looking for a dog to cuddle with and who loves to give kisses?  Then look to further because here I am!  You can bet that if you're sitting on the floor, I will be in your lap.  But don't think I'm a couch potato, I am one active girl!  I really enjoy going for walks and playing with toys.  I'm very friendly and get along with most dogs, and could maybe even live with a dog-savvy cat.  Come say hi and let me show you how loving I am!

Cookie 1Y 10M Retriever / Chow Chow mix Female Available

My name is Cookie and I'm a very high energy and busy dog that is looking for a family that can keep up with me! My idea of a perfect day is going for a few long walks (or runs), playing, running, and hanging out with my favorite people (preferably in my very own fenced in yard) and finishing the day off with some fun obedience training so I can be well rested to do it all over again the next day. I might be able to live in a home with cats, but I really do like to chase them. It would be best if I were the only dog in the home; I'm really not a fan of my own kind. Because I'm very strong and can sometimes be rowdy, children in my new home should be a bit older and experienced with dogs. I still need some help polishing up on my manners, but with your help I know I'll be the smartest, most well mannered dog on the block. Now that you know all about me, come on in and get to know me even better!

Layla 1Y 2M Hound/Retriever mix Female Available in foster home

What a dog like me needs is patience, time, and a lot of love.  I traveled here in hopes of finding my forever home, but the shelter environment was very stressful for me.  Lucky for me, someone was nice enough to bring me into their home and foster me so I can grow and learn in a calm environment.  My foster mom says that I am a sweet and loving dog, and that I am becoming more comfortable each day.  Although I am trying very hard, I am still an extremely shy dog and my new owners will need to be dedicated to helping me get the proper socialization I need.  Because I am very nervous, children in my home should be at least 16 years or older.  Having another calm, but playful dog in my new home might be good for me and might help me come out of my shell...after all, I'm enjoying playing with my two new doggie friends in my foster home!  Would you like to give me a chance?

*Layla is in a foster home.  If you are interested in meeting her, please call the shelter at 630-420-8989*

Roz 5Y 0M American Staffordshire Terrier Female Adopted!

I'm a very happy girl, can you tell by my big smile?  To go along with my big smile, I also have a big heart.  I am very outgoing and enjoy meeting new people, especially if they have treats.  I get along with most dogs as long as they share my play style, but no cats for me please.  I am very strong so children in my new home need to be in their upper teens and have experience with dogs.  If you have a place in your home for a loving girl like me, stop by soon!

Tawny 0Y 8M Shepherd / Hound Mix Female Available

I'm a sweet and silly girl looking for a family to call my own.  I train well with treats, which will make obedience training a little easier (and more fun for me!).  I would do best in a home with a moderate to active lifestyle.  Children in my new home should have experience with dogs because I am still learning my manners.  I think I would enjoy living with another dog and maybe even a cat.  If you're looking for an energetic pup stop by and meet me soon!
