Andy 1Y 2M Labrador Retriever Male Available

What's a happy-go-lucky guy like me doing at the shelter?  Searching for my forever home of course!  I came from Oklahoma, where I lived my life outside.  I'm looking forward to a life of comfort and leisure that I know I deserve.  My energy level is pretty typical for my breed, I love to play with toys and sometimes get so excited that I forget my manners.  I am still fairly young and will need obedience training in order to be the best dog I can be.  Children in my new home need to be at least 16 years old because of my strength and puppy behavior.  I can also be timid around loud noises.  I like some other dogs, but should probably be the only dog in my new home because I am not a big fan of sharing my things.  I might be OK living with a cat though.

Austin 4Y 0M Cattle Dog / Terrier mix Male Adopted!

Hiya!  Austin here to tell you all about how great I am!  I really enjoy attention and definitely won't run away from an ear scratch.  But that doesn't mean I'll be all over you all the time.  I understand what personal space is and I too appreciate some alone time.  I will need obedience training, I don't know very much right now and my family will have to be patient while teaching me new commands.  I love treats though, so maybe if those are involved I'll catch on quicker.  I get along pretty well with other dogs that are my size or smaller.  Those big ones scare a me a little.  I might even be OK living with a cat.  Children in my new home should be at least 8 years old and it would be good if they had experience with dogs before.  Stop by soon so you can see for yourself how wonderful I am!

Brutus 9Y 1M Beagle / Terrier mix Male Available

I'm a bit of a shy guy when it comes to meeting new people.  My new family will need to be patient and understanding that it might take some time for me to get comfortable with them.  One quick way to becoming my friend is to take me for a walk.  I love being outside and get very excited whenever I see a leash.  I think I would be happiest in a quiet home with no young children and no other dogs.  I could possibly live with a dog-savvy cat though.  One last thing about me, I don't have any teeth.  This doesn't stop me from eating, though it does have to be soft food.  If a sweet senior is what you're looking for to complete your family, stop by soon!

Dalton 0Y 7M Hound mix Male Adopted!

Guess how much I weigh?  Go on, guess.  Ok, I'll give you a hint, it's over 50 pounds!  And I'm not even fully grown yet!  How great is that?  Well, I guess it's only great if you like big dogs, but come on, who doesn't?  Anyways, you're probably here to learn a little about my personality and not just my size, so here it goes.  I LOVE everyone!  Every person, every dog, big, small, everything!  I also love cats, but I've been told I love them a little too much, so there can't be any in my new home.  As I'm sure you can tell, I'm a very excitable and energetic puppy and will need someone who will be able to harness it all into something productive and I've heard obedience training is a great start!  Because I can be a little too friendly and sometimes forget I'm not a small puppy anymore, it would be best if children in my new home were at least 8 years old and had experience with large dogs.  Well, what more can you ask for?  I can't wait to meet you!

Finley 9Y 4M Jack Russell Terrier mix Male Available

Bouncy and exuberant are just two words that describe me.  I have a lot of energy, love to play, and can never get too much attention!  Soft, squeaky toys are probably my favorite to play with, but I'm not too picky so long as you're playing with me!  I am not afraid to tell you when I want attention and can be a needy at times so it would be best if my new owners were gone no more than 4 hours a day.  It would also be best if I didn't live anywhere with shared walls (apartment, condo etc).  My new family will need to be dedicated to making sure that I get proper exercise, both physical and mental, to make sure that I stay happy and healthy.  It would be best if children in my new home were at least 8 years old.  I might be ok living with another gentle dog and possibly a dog savvy cat as well.  If you're looking for a sweet senior stop by soon!

Jenny 0Y 4M American Pit Bull Terrier / Retriever mix Female Adopted!

Excuse me, big puppy coming through!  And we all know what that means...A HUGE DOG!  I'm going to need a lot of food, a lot of exercise, and a big yard where I can run and play would be nice.  Overall, I'm pretty laid back but can be playful too, especially around other dogs.  I think it would be nice if there was another dog to welcome me into my new home and show me the ropes.  I think it would be best if children were at least 5 years old and had experience with dogs since I still have a lot of growing and learning to do.  Speaking of learning, it is very important that my new family starts working on obedience training with me right way.  It will also be important that I get the proper socialization I need.  If you have room in your heard and your home for a big dog, consider me!

Joey 4Y 0M Doberman Pinscher Male Adopted!

How you doin'?  My name is Joey and much like the Friends character, I'm a happy, goofy, and loveable guy!  One of my fun quirks is that I love to sit on laps.  When I see someone sitting down, I back myself right up and plop down.  I really enjoy meeting new people and making new friends, the more the merrier I say!   I do have some problems with my back legs, so sometimes sitting and walking on slippery surfaces are hard for me.  But I don't let that slow me down!  I get along pretty well with most other dogs and might be able to live with a cat.  Because I sometimes don't like to share my things, it would be best if children were at least 12 years old.  My new family should have experience with my breed and needs to have experience owning large dogs.  Stop by soon and say hi soon!

Kai 6Y 1M American Pit Bull Terrier mix Female Available

You know what really perks me up on a sad day? Tennis balls. I just absolutely love them! I could play all day long, well with some breaks in between. I will need to be your one and only pet, but trust me, there's a lot of me to go around. The vet recommends that I go on something called a "diet". I'm not sure what that means, but if it means I'll be healthier and happier then I'm all for it! They also recommend exercise, and hey, what better exercise than chasing a tennis ball! If I sound like the perfect dog for you, stop by soon and ask to see me! Oh and p.s. because of my size and strength, it would be best if children were 12 years and older. Can't wait to meet you!

Mable 9Y 1M Rat Terrier mix Female Available

Did you know there are a lot of great things about adopting a senior dog? I, for example, am as mellow and gentle as they come. I'm what you would call a couch potato and would rather spend the day watching T.V. than running around outside. I would prefer a quiet home to spend my golden years, and probably one without too many stairs as well. It would be best if children are 8 years and older since I can be nervous in new situations. I get along pretty well with other small, calm dogs. A young, rambunctious pup would be way too much for me. I could probably live with a cat as well. If a snuggle buddy is what you're searching for, then hurry up and stop on by!

Rusty 0Y 8M Dachshund mix Male Available

Hi!  My name's Rusty and I came all the way from Oklahoma in search of my forever family.  It was a very long ride, and I'm still a little nervous to be here, but I know with the right family, I'll be a happy and confident dog.  Once I get to know you, I'm very playful and like to share my toys with you.  I don't really understand fetch, but maybe you can teach me?  Because of my reserved personality, it would be best if children were at least 8 years old.  I would be happiest as an only dog as I can be very picky about my friends.  I might be OK living with a cat though.  If a sensitive guy is who you're searching for, stop by soon!

Shimmer 1Y 6M Terrier mix Female Available

I'm a happy girl who brings smiles to the faces of everyone I meet!  And I let me tell you, I love meeting new people!  It's just so exciting.  I also enjoy meeting other dogs, and don't let me size fool you, I can hold my own with the big boys!  I like to romp around and play, I've been told I'm quite spunky!  I like some toys, but would much rather play with another dog or my human companion.  I can live with children of almost any age and maybe even a dog-savvy cat.  I can't wait for you stop by and get to know me even better!

Shine 3Y 0M Terrier mix Female Adopted!

Now that the weather is getting cooler, are you looking for a companion to cuddle with?  Well look no further, I'm your girl!  I'm a very gentle and laid-back girl whose favorite thing is to cuddle up on a lap and relax.  But don't worry, I'm very polite and won't climb up onto your lap unless I'm invited.  I can be a little needy so it would be best if my family had a lot of time to spend with me and give me the love and attention I deserve.  I can be a little nervous with new people and new things, so it would be best if children were at least 5 years old and had experience with small dogs.  I might be able to live with another calm dog and possibly a cat as well.  Stop by soon to see for yourself just how great I am!

Speckles 0Y 6M Australian Cattle Dog mix Male Available

I'm a pup who's full of energy and always on the go!  Because of my high energy level, a lively active household is a must.  I can't wait to go on daily walks and runs and to try some fun outdoor activities like hiking or agility courses!  I will also need plenty of mental exercise like treat puzzles and kongs to keep my mind busy.  Another great way to get mental exercise is obedience training.  I'm friendly and playful with most other dogs, but am too exuberant for a cat.  Children in my new home should be at least 12 years old because I can be jumpy and am still learning my manners.  It would be best if my new owners had experience with my breed so I don't get bored.  If you think you have the energy to keep up with me, I would love for you to come in and say hi!

Toby 4Y 8M American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Male Available

Do you want to hear a story?  Because I love to tell stories, actually I just love to talk in general.  I'm a very friendly and outgoing guy and enjoy going to new places and meeting new people.  I get along with some other dogs and might enjoy having another dog in the home so long as we get along during our meet-and-greet at the shelter.  I might even be ok living with a cat.  I do have possible food allergies, so I need to be on a grain-free diet.  I don't mind, I'll pretty much eat whatever is put in front of me.  It would be nice if my new family has experience with my breed and how energetic we can be.  Children in my new home should be at least 12 years old because of this as well.  If an energetic dog is what your looking for, stop by soon and ask to see Toby!
